Corse Hill Farm

Stable Cottage is situated in the gardens and grounds of Corse Hill Farm, an attractive period stone farmhouse. The cottage is surrounded by pretty apple orchards and beyond is farmland. Corse Hill Farm is a "mixed farm" comprising a stud farm (breeding horses), sheep and arable; there is also beautiful ancient woodland on the farm. We are lucky to have some fantastic wildlife on the farm including wild deer, hedgehogs, hares, barn owls, buzzards, green wood peckers to name but and even a siting of a hoopoe. Wild deer regularly graze in the orchards and even pop into the garden surrounding the cottage. The orchards beside the Cottage are home to the "Corsehill apple" which was founded on the farm and recorded in "The Fruit Manual" (1884) as "a general purpose apple mostly used for cider."
